Workshops
Workshop 1: “From Chromatin remodelling to DNA damage responses”.
Location: Strasbourg - Organiser: Evi Soutoglou
Benefit to the ESR/ERs: This workshop will expose PhD students and postdocs to a series of talks covering DDR mechanisms in the context of chromatin. Two speakers from SMEs will cover technology platforms (Hoeijmakers, Nürnberg).
Workshop 2: “DNA repair and DDR: from molecular mechanisms to disease”
Location: Rotterdam - Organiser: Jan Hoeijmakers
Benefit to the ESR/ERs: This workshop organized by ErasmusMC aims to familiarize ESR/ERs on genetic model organisms with a particular emphasis on the role of DNA repair mechanisms in development and disease.
Workshop 3: DNA Replication and Recombination upon DNA damage.
Location: Milan - Organizer: Marco Foiani
Benefit to the ESR/ERs: This workshop aims to expose ESR/ERs to the theoretical and practical intricacies of DNA replication/recombination upon exposure to genotoxic agents.
Workshop 4: “Biomarker discovery in DNA damage-associated pathologies”
Location: Madrid - Organizer: Óscar Fernández-Capetillo
Benefit to the ESR/ERs and other trainees: A number of projects have been engaging in ageing research using various interventions aimed to modify ageing processes or lifespan of experimental animals. This workshop aims to familiarize ESRs and other trainees to topics related to the current advances in the field of biomarker discovery in pathological conditions that are associated with defects in DNA repair. Speakers from the two SMEs will cover topics on biomarker discovery and valorization of results for commercial applications.
